Kimora Field, a student from Rm. 46, together with her mother began a book club for her 3rd grade peers. The Reading Rocks Book Club is currently composed of 9 members who meet once a month for book discussions. They are currently reading a book by author Kathleen Krull named Harvesting Hope: The Story of Cesar Chavez. If you are interested in becoming a member please see Kimora Field in Rm. 46.

We are so excited that our school beautification committee worked together to make sure our school campus received some TLC. Students, teachers, and staff have been waiting anxiously for the arrival of City Year in partnership with Hillel International to begin renovating our school campus!

City Year members along with Hillel college students will be creating a wonderful vegetable garden, painting murals in the 5th grade area, building sitting areas, and retouching some of our school murals. They have been doing an awesome job!

We want all our Woodcrest community to recognize what an important service City Year and Hillel students are providing our school with. Please let them know if you happen to see them on campus.
